The Slow App

The shared understanding

Terms of service.

Last updated 27 August 2026

These terms apply when you use The Slow App. The service is operated by Code by Bleckert AB in Stockholm, Sweden, so “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Code by Bleckert AB. They are written to be read, not merely accepted.

The service

The Slow App gives a household one shared commitment for today and a calm record of what it has accomplished. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

If you are not old enough to agree to these terms where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

Your account and household

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details and devices secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the law says otherwise.

Invite only people you trust. Household members share a common space and may see, add, complete, edit, or remove its commitments and accomplishments. You are responsible for having permission to provide an invitee’s email address to us.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the commitments, accomplishments, names, and other content you add. You give us a limited permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve The Slow App and share it with the household you choose.

You must have the right to add the content you submit. Do not add anything unlawful, abusive, misleading, harmful, or that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.

Use it gently

Do not try to access another household or account without permission, probe or bypass security, interfere with the service, send abusive invitations, introduce malicious code, scrape the service, or use it in a way that harms other people or our infrastructure.

We may remove content, limit access, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Where practical, we will explain what happened.

Our app and other services

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use The Slow App for its intended purpose. The app, brand, design, and software remain ours or our licensors’. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, or redistribute them except where the law expressly allows it.

The app relies on services provided by others, including Apple for distribution, Sign in with Apple, and push notifications. Their own terms may also apply to those parts of the service.

Changes and availability

The Slow App will evolve. We may add, change, or retire features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security work, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We take care with your data, but The Slow App should not be the only copy of anything irreplaceable. We may update these terms as the service changes. If an update materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect.

Ending things

You can stop using The Slow App at any time. To request account deletion, email hello@theslow.app from the address connected to your account when possible. Our privacy policy explains what happens to account and shared household data.

We may end or suspend access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, a legal requirement, or a risk to people or the service. Sections that naturally continue after termination—including ownership, liability, and dispute terms—will remain in effect.

Responsibility and consumer rights

We provide The Slow App with reasonable care. To the extent the law permits, the service is otherwise provided “as available”, and we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

Swedish law governs these terms, without taking away any mandatory protection provided by the law where you live. Disputes may be brought before the courts of Sweden, or another court available to you under mandatory consumer law. Please contact us first—we would rather resolve a problem directly.
